Leaving from the Clock
Tower Precinct, the ferry
trip to Robben Island
takes 30 minutes. You
will disembark at the
Island and visit the small
settlement, thereafter
a visit to the Historical
Prison where Nelson Mandela
was held. Robben Island
is a World Heritage site
and home to a high diversity
of protected marine bird
life. The tour of the
Island will take approximately
2 1/2 hours. We again
board the ferry for the
30-minute return trip
to the Waterfront.

SEAL
ISLAND KAYAK
After an introduction
and safety briefing, it's
onto our sea kayaks to
launch from the Beach
at Hout Bay. Out through
the small surf, we paddle
in this scenic and protected
bay following the beautiful
Cliffside and mountains.
Weather permitting; we
paddle beyond the bay
to Duiker Island (commonly
referred to as Seal Island)
to experience the Cape
Fur Seals at a personal
level! They are inquisitive
and swim around our kayaks,
being used to our frequent
visits. We pull up on
the rocks to admire the
scenery and enjoy refreshments
before continuing back
to the beach.
The experience
takes about 3 to 4 hours,
with the option of a morning
or evening sunset trip.
SHARK
DIVING
Plenty of deck space and
shade on-board make this
ideal for your experience
with a Great White Shark.
The fixed cage system
is by far the best for
focusing the sharks where
you want them. You have
total freedom in the cage,
and 25cm semi-circular
view ports afford even
the most ambitious photographer
plenty of room to work
as the sea's magnificent
predators glide slowly
by.
SKYDIVING
The Citrusdal skydive
club is in the picturesque
valley of Citrusdal on
the Modderfontein Farm,
one and a half hours drive
north of Cape Town. The
club has been operating
since 1972. South of the
drop zone are the famous
warm baths, to the north,
the town of Citrusdal.

TABLE
MOUNTAIN AERIAL CABLEWAY
This tourist attraction
is one of the world's
most striking natural
wonders and visited by
more than 2 million tourists
each year. From the East
to the West the flat summit
is 3 kilometers long,
with the highest point
at 1086 meters.
The summit
can be reached by cable
car within 5 minutes.
Besides the breathtaking
views from the top over
the peninsula, the mountain
has a great variety of
fauna and flora. There
are more than 300 walks,
catering for various levels
of fitness and experience.
Lion's
Head, (the name was given
due to its appearance)
on the western side of
Table Mountain, and Devils
Peak on the eastern side,
are popular destinations
for climbers. Signal Hill
extends from Lion's Head
and is an excellent site
from which to watch the
sunset. There is also
a noon gun, a naval canon
that is fired every day
(except Sundays) to signal
midday. However, it is
also in remembrance of
those who died in the
2 world wars.

The Two Oceans Aquarium
is a window on the ocean,
offering glimpses of the
diverse life found off
the South African coastline.
Over 3000 living animals,
including fishes, invertebrates,
mammals, reptiles, birds
and plants can be seen
in the De Beers Marine
`Ocean Drifters' Exhibit
to the giant spider crabs
from Japan and the African
penguins in the Sappi
`Story of Water' Exhibit,
the Aquarium is a dynamic
place where the animals
continually surprise,
entertain, astound and
teach visitors about the
mysteries of their kind.
The Aquarium
offers unique opportunities
such as diving with the
sharks or feeding the
fishes in the Kelp Forest

with the copper hat dive,

WHALE
WATCHING
From June to November,
the Southern Right and
Humpback whales come to
the warmer waters of the
Cape's bays to calve and
mate. There are high vantage
points from which there
are good views and in
some areas, sightings
from boats are possible.
They are common along
the Atlantic Seaboard
and False Bay. At night
one can clearly hear their
calls from land.
Each year
during the September holidays,
some 250,000 people celebrate
a ten-day Whale Festival
at Hermanus. There are
also artists, stand-up
comics, theatre productions
and musicians. Schools
of up to 300 dolphins
may also be spotted along
the coast.
