DID YOU KNOW? Bantry Bay was originally called “Botany Bay” and was a botanical garden providing medicinal herbs to the Mother City. It was renamed during the 1st World War and is known to be the least windy area in Cape Town – clocking in an impressive 290 wind-free days per year – which is quite something given Cape Town’s windy climate.
